Abstract: The Series 60 results are analytically analysed in order to achieve its ultimate objectives in a computer program form. All form coefficients are analytically related to the basic parameters. The offsets are analytically expressed in terms of the entrance and run prismatic coefficients. An analytical curve fitting method and regression analysis are used to express the dependent resistance coefficients at different speed coefficients, in terms of the independently varied hull parameters. The polynomial function contianing all interaction terms. based on regression analysis. is shown to be the best among others considered. The function is discussed and the assumptions involved are clearly indicated.
