Abstract: Conventional reconstruction of the compressed data based on the inverse wavelet transform (IWT) does not give good results (too much loss of information) because of the neglected detail part especially for the high levels decomposition. To deal with this problem, a new approach for the reconstruction of the compressed data, based on the inverse wavelet transform and the Hopfield neural networks is presented in this paper.

Abstract: A 3D numerical method has been developed to model the coils used in inductive processes. The method is based on Ohm's law and Biot and Savart's law and can be used to solve eddy current problems at mid-range or high frequencies. The unknowns are the current density and electrical potential. The formulation involves singular integrals and produces a fully linear system, as in the boundary integral method. For these frequencies, only the surface of the conductors …needs to be meshed. Abstract: Numerical analysis of MHD flow in rectangular channel is performed to evaluate the performance of remountable first wall with liquid blanket like Li or Flibe, where fabrication and maintenance of the system become extremely simplified. Four-channel model is used to calculate the MHD pressure drop in variously coated channels. The effect of crack existence in the coated layer of flow channel on the MHD pressure drop is also evaluated for real usage. Abstract: In this approach, we study the behavior of a chiral material in terms of the propagation of guided wave. In this study, we are particularly interested by the field distribution in a coplanar structure based on the involved chiral material. This chiral material is supposed to be homogeneous, isotropic and lossless. In this paper, the characteristics of wave guided propagation in chiral medium have been analyzed. Using Maxwell's curl equations for source-free regions together with the …set of constitutive relations, the dispersion relation of propagating and evanescent modes for this chirowaveguide have been obtained and analyzed. We show that the existent modes regardless to their nature: propagative or evanescent; are both bifurcated modes. In this paper, the formalism used to describe the chirowaveguide represent a new approach, which is based on calculation of longitudinal and transverse operators. The derivation proposed here is new and different of that used in [4]. Abstract: The global linearization method is used to solve multivariable non-linear state equations. This method makes use of a simple and invertible change of coordinates based on global diffeomorphism. A full agreement of the solutions of the linear and non-linear models was obtained. Two examples of practical application of this method have been presented: the first – a non-linear model of a DC drive system, and the second – an electrical circuit with a non-linear diode.

Abstract: In this paper we present an identification algorithm of the Preisach distribution from the FORC diagram. This method does not imply the use of an analytical function for the Preisach distribution which makes it very useful when such an approximation is not available. Test problems based on simulations made with the Generalized Preisach Model are presented and the results are discussed.
