Abstract: The structural integrity of any replacement has to be tested to prevent premature failure and thus maintaining the reliability of the implant. The study on physical properties of biomaterials now-a-days plays an important role in understanding their nature. Our aim is the investigation of the possibility to use microwave resonant methods for in vivo and in vitro testing of homogeneity of dental materials. In this article, we pay attention to find the electromagnetic properties (both dielectric parameter and scattering parameters dependent on frequency) of explored material. We started to measure dielectric properties of very often used material in dental practice - poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) and realize the schemes in software simulation. Simulation allows quick and precise analysis of the frequency dependence of scattering parameter - S11 for PMMA.
