Abstract: This paper investigates the influences of the grade, the alignment direction and magnetization ratio of Nd–Fe–B sintered magnet on its conductivity and AC loss to achieve further high-efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors. As a result, it is confirmed that the difference in grade had little effect on the conductivity and AC loss. The difference in conductivity is not caused by the magnetization ratio. Furthermore, the influence of hysteresis loss and skin effect varies depending on the magnetization ratio.
