Abstract: Viscous, magnetization and damping properties of magnetic compound fluids containing fibrous material such as alpha-cellulose were investigated experimentally. It is shown that adding fibrous material to magnetic functional fluids is effective on increasing viscosity on the fluid while the amplification ratio of damping force in the presence of magnetic field against damping force in the absence of magnetic field decrease with increase of volume fraction of the fibrous material.
