Abstract: A theoretical investigation has been carried out to analyze the transmission of electromagnetic field through a slab of quadric inhomogeneous chiral medium. The transmission coefficients at dielectric-chiral and chiral-dielectric interfaces are derived analytically. The transmitted electromagnetic field expressions have been obtained using Maslov's method. The derived analytical field expressions at caustic or focal point of quadratic inhomogeneous chiral slab have been solved numerically using MATHEMATICA. The result obtained using Maslov's method are compared with Hyugen Kirchhoff's integral which are in good agreement.
