Abstract: This paper suggests a hybrid exited Flux Switching Permanent Magnet (FSPM) motor which has flux control characteristics. First of all, the structure of FSPM with flux control characteristics is suggested and the basic principle of how it works is explained. Then, a 2D model considering an overhang is suggested in order to extract the parameters of the motor and using this, counter back-emf and inductance are calculated. Lastly, the characteristics were analyzed using voltage equation when operating flux control.
