Abstract: The goal of contactless inductive flow tomography (CIFT) is the velocity reconstruction in electrically conducting melts which are used in many metallurgical and crystal growth applications. In this paper, we discuss some recent methodological improvements of this method, in particular the automatic search for an optimum regularisation parameter and the amended treatment of the boundary integrals.
