Abstract: The forward problem of a realistic head model is simulated by the finite volume method (FVM)-boundary element method (BEM) coupled approach. A new mesh discretization method for the FVM is presented to simulate the realistic head model. The simulations show that this approach is convenient to calculate the forward problem of EEG with anisotropic conductivity.
