Abstract: A literature survey on the topic of the impact of information technology on organizations revealed the interplay between the use of information technology and organizational design. In this paper an evolutionary constructionist view of the impact of information technology on organizations is presented. With this view, the information technology enabled organizational migration has three stages: knowledge link, transaction link, and business alliance link.
