We were very saddened to hear of the passing away of Haim Brezis on July 7, 2024.
He was an active collaborator of Asymptotic Analysis for many years and had a deep influence worldwide on Functional Analysis and nonlinear partial differential equations. The obituary that appears in this issue, written by Henri Berestycki and Jean-Michel Coron, highlights some aspects of his work.
