Abstract: In order to fix the magnetic drug to the target a magnetic droplet should be held in position against the flow of the blood. In the present experiment a two-dimensional droplet is placed on the floor of the channel and is held in position by the magnetic force against the flow of the water. The needle-like spikes emerge on the droplet and they move downstream with the flow as if they rotate around the droplet, which will be effective in agitation and mixing inside the droplet. The motion of the spikes is not smooth but intermittent, skipping to the neighboring stable positions.
