Abstract: New assessment strategies for degradation of magnetic materials are presented. Applying current with low frequency to a probe with magnetic yoke, the detecting signal can be measured by pick-up coil attached with the probe. An inspection model is described by a nonlinear Euler equation in two dimensions with the state dependent magnetic permeability. Inverse analysis for magnetization process is developed with the background knowledge of the inspection model driven by the nonlinear magnetic permeability.
