Abstract: The rapid development of telecommunication devices during the last decade has afforded organizations the option of employing salaried workers who are located at their own homes. The focus of this paper is on the daily challenges faced both at home and in the organizational arenas. First, the domain of the worker and his family is explored via the issues of blurring the boundaries between professional and private life. Then a system's approach model, integrating the different components involved in the proper application of telework at the organizational setting is described. These components include the tasks, rewards system, people, structure, processes and organizational culture leading to the practical implementation of telework.
