Literature on Data Science and Library and Information Science Domain

Abstract: Nowadays, data science is emerging as an integral concept of nearly every discipline. Thus, the library and information science professionals have also become interested in data science and as a result have started to contribute the scholarly literature on this topic of significance. This article discussed a study dedicated towards mapping the published literature on data science and library and information science through EBSCO library and information science source till December 2021. The results of this study show that the majority of the literature was produced in the year 2020, single authors, sole universities, United States of America (USA) country, in the Journal of Medical Internet Research and Proceedings of the Association for Information Science & Technology journals and on theme of ‘data science concept’.
