Abstract: ‘Scholia’ acts as a front end to open knowledge networks and is an innovative solution in the fields of information processing, navigation, and analysis. The SPARQL-based Wikidata Query Service for obtaining data not only is available in tabular form but also in a graphical one. In the future, Scholia will definitely change the processes of information processing and the procedure for providing information on which decisions will be based in a digital form. ‘Scholia’ helps find the relationships and patterns between the data sets through its data visualization tool. This article discusses a detailed review of the features, functionalities, and how it is useful in scholarly communication. Challenges and opportunities in terms of future technological innovations also form the subject matter of the article. It also discusses how Scholia acts as a storehouse as well as an exploratory tool in scholarly communication.
