Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the properties of join-meet preserving maps in complete residuated lattices. We define join-meet approximation operators as a generalization of fuzzy rough sets in complete residuated lattices. Moreover, we investigate the relations between join-meet preserving maps and Alexandrov fuzzy topologies. We give their examples.

Abstract: The paper investigates the comprehensive evaluation problems with 2-tuple linguistic information. The study develops 2-tuple linguistic Maclaurin symmetric mean (2TLMSM) operator by improving Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operator. The paper studies its properties and discusses its special cases. For the situations where the input arguments have different importance, the 2-tuple linguistic weighted Maclaurin symmetric mean (2TLWMSM) operator is defined based on the procedure which is developed for comprehensive evaluation problems under the 2-tuple linguistic environments. Finally, a practical example for evaluating the financial management performance is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract: This paper presents a hybrid modified binary particle swarm optimization and fuzzy system for obtaining the optimal number of PMUs which makes the power system completely observable. Observability assessment is done by means of topological observability rules. Moreover a new rule is employed which can decrease the number of required PMUs for full network observability. In all of the investigations, the effect of zero-injection buses in the power system is considered. Developed PMU placement method is illustrated using IEEE standard systems to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The results show that the whole system can be observable with …installing PMUs on less than 20% of system buses. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, model reference adaptive fuzzy control (MRAFC) is proposed to improve the power dynamic performance such as current tracking and total harmonic distortion (THD) for a shunt active power filter (APF). T-S fuzzy strategy is utilized on the approximation of nonlinear model of APF caused by nonlinear characteristics, variable parameters and external disturbances. Adaptive fuzzy control of the APF system consists of T-S fuzzy control item and sliding mode control item, which can enhance the robust performance of the system. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed controller and comparisons with APF system using model reference adaptive …control (MRAC) demonstrate that MRAFC method is capable of reducing the modeling error and tracking reference current signal accurately. Moreover, APF using the proposed method shows the dynamic and static control performance of stronger robustness, better suitability and higher accuracy than the one using MRAC modus. Show more
