From the Editor
This issue of WORK has two sections. The first is a special section devoted to Workplace Resilience. My gratitude is extended to Dr. Larry Mallak from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA for being the guest editor. These nine articles will assist in advancing knowledge on this important topic.
The second section of the issue contains 13 interesting articles on a variety of topics such as the Work-It study for people with arthritis, the effect of work motivation on a sample of nurses in an Italian healthcare setting, assessing hospital crisis management based on resilience engineering approach, work related traumatic brain injury due to assault, and the development and validation of the healthy computing questionnaire for children (HCQC), among other topics.
This issue contains a Sounding Board article, an editorial which addresses the topic of shifting the movement paradigm in workplaces.
The issue concludes with an introduction to and Guidelines on Schoolbags Use: Messaging to Inform the Stakeholder which was created by Dr. Sara Dockrell, Dr. Ciaran Simms, and Dr. Catherine Blake. Please feel free to print these Guidelines and disseminate them widely.
As mentioned in a previous issue of WORK, we are starting Learn at WORK, a complimentary webinar series that I will moderate. Each webinar provides a presentation by and conversation with authors whose evidence-based research article was published in WORK. The easy to access platform makes the webinars available globally. I am delighted to share that on June 21, 2016 from 1-2 pm EST, Dr. Sara Dockrell will discuss An investigation of schoolbag-related musculoskeletal pain in the context of schoolbag weight limit guidelines. Dr. Dockrell’s article on this topic was published in the March 2016 issue of WORK and is available free to read. Information regarding the Guidelines are published in this issue of WORK.

• October 17, 2016; 1-2 pm EST – Dr. Julie Keysor and Dr. Rawan Alheresh will discuss The Work-It Study for People with Arthritis: Study Protocol and Baseline Sample Characteristics. This article is published in this issue of WORK and is available free to read.
• December 8, 2016; 1-2 pm EST –Dr. Tom Albin will discuss Computer Ergonomics: State of the Art.
