From the Editor

I write this From the Editor as I listen to the United States President’s State of the Union Address. I am trying to do two tasks at the same time, although I know that multitasking is impossible.

President Obama shared, “We are living through an extraordinary moment in human history. Technological and social change is reshaping the way we live, the way we work, our environment, and our place in the world”.

I encourage you to read his full State of the Union at:

There are 20 articles in this issue of WORK. Many of these topics will help reshape how we live, work, and our environment. Some of these topics include: backpacks, workplace exercise for changing health behavior related to physical activity, work-family conflict, managing workplace health promotion, job rotation, self-efficacy, production practices affecting worker task demands, workplace violence and bullying, anthropometric measures and school furniture, obesity intervention.

As always, I welcome hearing from you and hope that you will consider submitting your scholarly work to our journal.
