Abstract: The set of recently conducted time-of-day electricity pricing experiments provide a major source of economic experiment data. This study provides a primer on the issues in the use of this data and describes in detail the five most prominent experiments conducted in Southern California, Los Angeles, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and North Carolina. Among the issues considered are various strategies for handling large diverse data sets and the presence of missing values. The particular data set discussed has been employed in the transference of experimental results to utilities that have not conducted such an experiment. The data set is in the forum of a series of SAS SAS is a registered trademark of the SAS Institute, Cary, N.C. type data sets for each utilities' experiment.
