A mistake was found in the published version of Figure 2, the beta-actin western blot was incorrectly placed. We have accordingly replaced the beta-actin image in the corrected Figure 2, given below.
The change in Figure 2 does not affect the interpretation of SMAD4 expression. Thus, the error had no bearings on the interpretation of the results, nor it influenced the conclusions of this work.
