Abstract: The structure of a new anionic mixed ligand Sr12-cluster is presented. It consists of two oxocentered Sr6-octahedra bridged via iodide along a Sr-I-Sr bond. The triangular faces are capped with one iodide and seven OtBu-groups. Iodide and THF molecules are found as terminal ligands on the Sr-cations.
