Abstract: The reaction of excess tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite with cyanuric chloride produced the ester 2,4,6-trisdi(trimethylsilyloxyphosphinyl)-1,3,5-triazine. After partial purification the ester was methanolysed to the free acid 2,4,6-trisphosphinyl-1,3,5-triazine in good to excellent yields. Some properties of the acid are described.
