Abstract: With the development of computing technology, there is an increasing
interest in iterative CT image reconstruction. To study iterative
reconstruction algorithms, we have developed a software simulator IterCT in
VC++ on PC and made it publicly available on the Internet. In the latest
version of the simulator, we have implemented four representative iterative
image reconstruction algorithms, which are expectation maximization (EM) method
and its ordered-subset version (OSEM), the simultaneous algebraic
reconstruction technique (SART) and its ordered-subset version (OSSART). The
filtered backprojection method is included as the benchmark.
