Abstract: This report introduced 8th International Symposium on Fluid Control, Measurement and Visualization that was held in Chengdu, China, from August 22 to 25, 2005. The contents consists of six parts: 1) background, 2) overview, 3) academic exchange, 4) award, 5) meeting of International Steering Committee, 6) acknowledgement.
