Abstract: The traditional epidural anesthesia often relies on blind touch method, which has high technical requirements and low efficiency for doctors. But the ultrasonic image localization method also affects the doctor’s use because of the insufficient definition, the big spot noise and so on. Based on this, a new lumbar ultrasound processing system is proposed. Anisotropic diffusion filter can enhance contrast and make image smoother. The new adaptive threshold binarization algorithm can not only remove speckle noise, but also get clear ultrasound image. The template matching algorithm is used to locate the epidural anesthesia automatically. Through several ultrasound images were examined, The success rate was 98.12%. This technology was used in the control experiment of obese patients, which showed that this technology can better solve the problem of low epidural anesthesia operation.
