Abstract: Multidistance is an extension of conventional distance and is used to measure distance for more than two points. It has been applied to some practical problems since its appearance. In order to enrich the family of multidistances and facilitate further applications of multidistances, a new multidistance based on the generalized OWA (GOWA) operator is introduced in this paper. Some of its properties, including regularity, stability, strong multidistance, super-additivity, homogeneity, are investigated. A power average operator is then proposed, whose support function is calculated by using the proposed GOWA-based multidistance. A numerical example is then presented to show the performance of this operator.
Keywords: Multidistance, generalized OWA operator, power average operator, support function
