Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new dissimilarity measure between intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), which takes into account the membership degree, non-membership degree, degree difference between membership and non-membership functions of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, as well as the exponential dissimilarity measure to avoid information loss and prove that the proposed dissimilarity measure satisfies the properties of the axiomatic definition of dissimilarity measure. And we compare our proposed dissimilarity measure with some existing distances through some numerical examples which show that our proposed dissimilarity measure is more robust and efficient. Finally, we apply our proposed dissimilarity measure in multiple attribute decision making(MADM) and the conclusion shows our proposed dissimilarity measure is available.
