Abstract: The soft set theory, proposed by Molodtsov, can be used as a general mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainty. By introducing a generalization parameter which itself is multi-fuzzy, we define the concept of possibility multi-fuzzy soft sets. Some operations on a possibility multi-fuzzy soft set are investigated, such as complement operation, union and intersection operations, “AND” and “OR” operations. Then similarity measure between two possibility multi-fuzzy soft sets is discussed, and its application to medical diagnosis has been shown. Finally, a practical example is provided to illustrate the validity of possibility multi-fuzzy soft sets in decision making problem.
