Abstract: As systems analysis evolves, many kinds of chart representations are described to develop the target system. The characteristics of the chart representations such as viewpoint, components, etc. are different in each other. In system analysis and design, the analysis with several level of detail and with two or more viewpoints is performed to grasp the system correctly. To describe the system, the several chart representations in two or more viewpoints are used. Each chart representation is not described from scratch, but described by using components included in the other chart representations based on an analyst's experience. In order to describe the chart representations efficiently, interrelationships between several chart representations are clarified. By using the interrelationships, the components described in a chart representation can be used in the other chart representation. As one of analysis processes, three kinds of chart representations such as Petri Net, E-R Diagram and SFC (Sequential Function Chart) are used. To extract components effectively, the discipline is introduced in the description of Petri Net.
