Abstract: This paper focuses on the safety of the operators utilizing live working platform in the course of the live maintenance in 330 kV substation. Primarily, a finite element model is built in a bid to analyse the surface field intensity of the operators. On this basis, the distribution of the electric field intensity on human body surface under different working conditions, when operators are in different postures as well as in different material buckets is analysed. Finally, the protection suggestions are given.
