Abstract: A wind speed and direction sensor based on microcontroller C8051F340 is designed in this paper, which measures in according with the influence to the ultrasonic velocity by wind field. There are describing the theoretical basis on sensor in detail, establishing the wind measurement model and emphatically accomplishing the software sub-systems and hardware circuit design. Since sound velocity was influence by temperature and humidity, a temperature and humidity correction formula for sonic velocity was put forward.
Keywords: Ultrasonic velocity-measuring, wind speed and direction sensor, temperature and humidity correction
