Abstract: In order to explore the key technologies of low carbon design integration of typical automobile parts and components, a low carbon design integrated system engineering model was built based on database management technology, and the simulation of the model was carried out. The automobile engine was taken as the example; the low carbon integrated system model was applied to evaluate the carbon emission in the life cycle of the engine and provide low carbon improved design recommendations. Carbon emission evaluations were performed to the designs of component parts, technologies, and the life cycles of the component parts. The systematic simulation was performed to put forward the suggestions for improvements; in addition, on the basis of these suggestions, the designs of camshafts were improved to achieve the effect of low carbon emission of typical automobile parts. The results showed that the designed model can effectively achieve the expected results of low carbon design. Despite the deficiencies in the experimental processes, the study has still provided a basis for the low carbon design of the key automobile components.
