1.This thematic issue

The evolution of interconnected systems and advanced computation has laid the foundation for the emergence of integrated intelligent infrastructures, a subject of growing interest within the realm of ambient intelligence and smart spaces. This thematic issue titled “Applications in Integrated Intelligent Infrastructures” endeavors to shed light on and advance this rapidly expanding field. As a result of the evaluation of the submitted papers to this call, four papers have been selected to explore applications for energy management in smart buildings and in smart health networks; for soil moisture prediction in agricultural infrastructures; and for robot navigation in large spaces. We wish to thank our colleagues Carles Gomez (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Spain), Brenda Bannan (George Mason University, United States) and Anthony Fleury (IMT Nord Europe, France) for their valuable work in managing this thematic issue as guest editors.
