Editorial
I would like to take this opportunity to point out a few changes at the International Journal of Developmental Science. Our contact person at IOS Press BV has changed: On behalf of the editors and the assistant of the editor team, I would like to thank Kairi Look for the wonderful collaboration. We wish you all the best for the new challenges and changes in your life! At the same time, I would like to welcome Steffen de Jong as our new contact person. We are very much looking forward to working together!
With the change of contact persons, we can also announce some – already done or upcoming – changes in the Journal, on the Journal’s website respectively: The journal website now lists the most frequently cited articles. The journal’s impact factor metrics will soon be presented in an expanded form on the website. For submitting and editing manuscripts, there will be a switch to another Editorial Manager system in the near future. Finally, there will be extensive changes and additions to the Editorial Board in 2023. Be excited about the upcoming changes and innovations!
The Present Double Issue
This double issue of IJDS comprises a Thematic Section with four articles and one regular article. The articles of the Thematic Section on “Developmentally Appropriate Prevention of Behavioral and Emotional Problems, Social-Emotional Learning, and Developmentally Appropriate Practice for Early Childhood Education and Care – The Papilio Approach from 0 to 9” are described in the respective Thematic Section Editorial by Scheithauer and Scheer (2022). Planert et al. (2022) address the interplay of resilience, coping, and sense of belonging in childhood using network analysis and present results that further deepen our understanding of the interplay between these concepts.
We very much hope that this issue reaches a wide readership. In addition, I would like to thank all the reviewers who provided reviews on manuscripts despite a heavy workload, Covid 19 epidemic, and other stresses. We wish all our readers and colleagues a Happy New Year 2023!
Herbert Scheithauer, Freie Universität Berlin
Editor-in-Chief
