Abstract: The needs and expectations of clients for search output vary widely, and require different information responses from the searcher. The types of information package that may be provided to the client include a single integrated bibliography, a report organising search results into a problem-solving sequence, and a searchable downloaded computer file. Search products can be enhanced by utilising effectively the special output features offered on database host systems, by employing word processing and specialised post processing software, and by imaginative search report packaging.
