Abstract: LIST-3-HIRN is a new man-machine symbiosis. It combines the approaches of 3-HIRN and DOUBLECOMPUTER + BOSS: two different chess computers separately list their k-best moves; a human being (= the third brain) makes the final choice from the two lists of proposals. Using two commercial chess programs and having the author as its third brain, LIST-3-HIRN has recently beaten GM Arthur Yusupov in an eight-game match in shuffle chess by 5 to 3.
