Abstract: The time taken to learn from others is a good investment. Case studies offer this opportunity to everyone. A new source of cases is to be found in the widely available Library Journal. These cases are a valuable contribution to the inventory of existing ones. Until now there was no convenient way to access these cases quickly. This paper presents an analysis of these cases and describes ways in which they can be used. Cases are of interest to educators as course material. However, their value to practitioners is less obvious and has not been emphasized in the literature. The discussion identifies the attributes of this set of cases which makes them particularly helpful to practitioners.
