The authors state: “One of our authors found serious issues with some data. We made some mistakes on some tissue samples. These experiments probably should be re-performed, and we think it is important to double check the other data of the manuscript”.

However, this seems to be a case of unethical behavior, with simultaneous submission to Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, where the paper appears in: Volume 490, Issue 2, 19 August 2017, Pages 415–422

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications received the manuscript on 29 May 2017, when it was under review with Cancer Biomarkers.
