Abstract: Several water-borne diseases are observed in people of Rajnandgaon city, Chhattisgarh, India. Therefore, in the proposed work, the physico-chemical parameters such as pH, electric conductivity (EC), dissolved oxygen (DO), reduction potential (RP), total hardness (TH), alkalinity, organic carbon (OC), carbonate carbon (CC), HCO_3^-, F^-, Cl^-, NO_3^-, SO_4^{2-}, Na^+, K^+, Mg^{2+} and Ca^{2+} are described. The concentration, variations and sources of F^- and other ions are discussed.
