Abstract: In this paper, a multi-objective algorithm is presented for optimal power management and design of a hybrid Wind/Photovoltaic/ generation system with hydrogen energy storage system including electrolyzer, fuel cell and hydrogen tank to supply power demand in a microgrid system. The generation units are intrinsically non-dispatchable and moreover, the major components of the system i.e. wind turbine generators, photovoltaic arrays and DC/AC converter may be subjected to failure. Also, solar radiation, wind speed and load data are assumed to be entirely deterministic. The goal of this design is to use a novel multi-objective optimization algorithm to minimize the objective functions …i.e. annualized cost of the system, loss of load expected and loss of energy expected and provide optimal energy management in the microgrid. The system costs involve investment, replacement and operation and maintenance costs. Prices are all empirical and components are commercially available. The simulation results for different cases reveal the impact of components outage on the reliability and cost of the system. So, they are directly depends on component’s reliabilities, i.e. outages lead to need for a larger and more expensive generation system to supply the load with the acceptable level of reliability. In addition, an approximate method for reliability evaluation of hybrid system is presented which lead to reduce computation time. Simulation results show the effectiveness of proposed multi-objective algorithm to solve optimal sizing problem in contrast with traditional single objective methods. Show more

Abstract: Although appearance based trackers have been greatly improved in the last decade, they are still struggling with some challenges like occlusion, blur, fast motion, deformation, etc. As known, occlusion is still one of the soundness challenges for visual tracking. Other challenges are also not fully resolved for the existed trackers. In this work, we focus on tackling the latter problem in both color and depth domains. Neutrosophic set (NS) is as a new branch of philosophy for dealing with incomplete, indeterminate and inconsistent information. In this paper, we utilize the single valued neutrosophic set (SVNS), which is a subclass of …NS, to build a robust tracker. First, the color and depth histogram are employed as the appearance features, and both features are represented in the SVNS domain via three membership functions T , I , and F . Second, the single valued neutrosophic cross-entropy measure is utilized for fusing the color and depth information. Finally, a novel SVNS based MeanShift tracker is proposed. Applied to the video sequences without serious occlusion in the Princeton RGBD Tracking dataset, the performance of our method was compared with those by the state-of-the-art trackers. The results revealed that our method outperforms these trackers when dealing with challenging factors like blur, fast motion, deformation, illumination variation, and camera jitter. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy controller design methodology via MultiObjective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) based on robust stability criterion, is proposed. The plant to be controlled is modeled from its input-output experimental data considering a Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy NARX model, by using the fuzzy C-Means clustering algorithm (antecedent parameters estimation) and Weighted Recursive Least Squares (WRLS) algorithm (consequent parameters estimation). An adaptation mechanism as MOPSO problem for online tuning of a fuzzy model based digital PID controller parameters, based on the gain and phase margins specifications, is formulated. Experimental results for adaptive fuzzy digital PID control of a thermal …plant with time varying delay is presented to illustrate the efficiency and applicability of the proposed methodology. Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the notion of obstinate filter in hoop algebras and study the relationship between this notion and other types of filters in hoops, we show that every obstinate filter is a fantastic and perfect filter and collect all of the relationships in a diagram. Finally, we define the notion of locally finite hoop and we show that if F is an obstinate filter, then A /F is a locally finite hoop.

Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to introduce another new conception of fuzzy bitopological space called(i, j)-fuzzy γ -hyperconnectedness concerned with the recent significant work on γ -open sets. This paper also presents some of its characterizations in terms of various fuzzy bitopological notions. Applying this new effective idea we move forward one more step to study the difference between bitopological space and fuzzy bitopological space. Finally, relationships among the several newly defined functions are established as applications.

Abstract: Due to the increasing demand on aquaculture, the continuous monitoring of water quality and characteristics are significant for maximizing the yields. Even though many physicochemical parameters are available for monitoring the water quality, the knowledge of domain experts are expected to analyze these parameters to find the final decision about the quality of water. In order to utilize the knowledge of the domain experts for water quality artificially, we have developed a functional tangent decision tree algorithm which, predict the water quality of the ponds based on the physiochemical parameters. The proposed method of predicting the water quality consists of …three important steps such as, uncertainty handling, feature selection using reduct and core analysis, classification using the functional tangent decision tree. The proposed functional tangent decision tree is constructed by utilizing a new function called functional tangent entropy for the selection of attributes and split points. Then, the proposed work is experimented with the real database and compared with the existing classifiers to prove its better performance. The proposed work obtained the maximum classification accuracy of 95% as compared with the existing work. Show more

Abstract: As one of feasible clustering techniques for large-scale data, incremental fuzzy clustering, which copes with data in chunks, has triggered more attentions in recent years. The existing methods, such as online fuzzy C -medoids (OFCMd) and history-based online fuzzy C -medoids (HOFCMd), employ only one medoid to represent each cluster in chunks. Due to the fact that the representativeness of the one-medoid modality is sometimes unsatisfactory, a novel large-scale fuzzy multiple-medoid clustering (LS-FMMdC) method is presented to strengthen the clustering effectiveness for large-scale data. The performance of the proposed method is verified by comparing LS-FMMdC with OFCMd and HOFCMd on …both synthetic and real-life large-scale data sets. Show more

Abstract: This study considers an inventory control system meeting uncertain demand in continuous time. The demand is a function of both time and price, with the price evolves as a Wiener process with no drift. The goal is to use the stochastic optimal control principle to completely solve a production planning model for the demand rate. A stochastic optimal control problem is formulated in which the stochastic differential equations of a type known as Ito’s equations are considered which are perturbed by a Markov diffusion process and analyzed by the optimal control of a single dimension stochastic production planning model. The …existence of a complete solution to the associated HJB equation is established and the optimal policy is characterized. Numerical examples and solutions of this optimal control model are then presented. Show more

Abstract: Recently, the solar water heaters have been widely used in China. For common consumers, the solar water heater selection problems have theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, a multiple attribute decision making method for solar water heater selection problems is proposed. Firstly, the evaluations to alternatives take the form of linguistic terms and then are transformed into triangular fuzzy numbers. Secondly, the reference points of the attributes are obtained from the decision maker. Then, based on prospect theory and the operation rules of fuzzy numbers, the linguistic rating information is converted and aggregated. Finally, the alternatives are ranked from …best to worst. The first one is the optimal choice. The availability of the proposed method is illustrated through an application in solar water heater selection problems. Show more

Abstract: For a decision table, it is firstly proved that the effective pair is equivalent to improved discernibility matrix to guarantee that the attribute reduction based on discernibility matrix can be calculated by effective pair. To get the attribute reduction more quickly, a parallel radix sort model is proposed. Then a simple decision table and effective pair are obtained. Taking the length of distinguishable or indistinguishable elements string among the effective pair as heuristic information, an attribute reduction algorithm based on parallel Logical OR is proposed. Finally, the examples and experiments are shown to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the …proposed algorithm. Show more
