Abstract: Uncertainty theory is a branch of mathematics based on normality, monotonicity, self-duality, countable subadditivity, and product measure axioms. Different from randomness and fuzziness, uncertainty theory provides a new mathematical model for uncertain phenomena. Distance and similarity measure have played an important role in uncertainty theory as well as many other disciplines. This paper first proposes some new distances between uncertain variables. Then the definition of the degree of similarity between uncertain variables is introduced and several similarity measures between uncertain variables are generated from distance measures. Finally, the distance and similarity measures proposed are applied to pattern recognition.

Abstract: How to deal with the contradiction between mass production effect and customized demand is the key problem on mass customization (MC). With the development of supply chain management, we can settle the contradiction through flexible and effective supply chain operation and it relies on rational supply chain resource integration (SCRI). However, supply chain operation in MC has special characters, mainly reflected in the random order information and the outstanding changes of collaborative benefits and risks which will influence the SCRI process and the collaborative psychology and negotiation state between two integration sides. Through analyzing the integration framework from the relations …of integration input and output, this paper gives a deep analysis on multi-stage dynamic game process about SCRI in MC from the view of balancing the benefits and risks among both negotiation sides and points out that the integration is a collaborative game process. Through dividing the game process reasonably, this paper describes the game stage features and the index changes of resource individuals’ psychological expectations and appeals of their benefits and risks by fuzzy membership functions, and then puts forward a dynamic game decision method. Finally, testing by an application case, the method is feasible and effective. Show more

Abstract: The three-way decision method is a kind of new developed uncertain decision theory that combines fuzzy sets and rough sets together in recent years. It divides a set of objects into three regions, called the acceptance, rejection and uncertain regions, respectively. However, all the current researches deal with the three regions in the same way and do not provide further analysis on the most important uncertain region. In this paper, we propose an extended three-way decision method, called partial fuzzy sets, which regard acceptance region and rejection region as certain so as to focus on the uncertain region. Both certainty …and uncertainty are simultaneously considered, that is more consistent with human thinking in decision making. Then, we establish two operational algorithms, called approximate approach and enhanced approximate approach, respectively. The approximate approach considers that the group accepts the certain information as far as possible. Specially speaking, based on approximate approach, if other members in a group are all uncertain to a judgment except one or two, who accept or reject it surely, then the group would agree with the certain judgment, even that they might be the minority. On the base of approximate approach, enhanced approximate approach reduces the possible bias through removing the maximal and the minimal membership grades in the group evaluation before aggregation. Obviously, the proposed methods provide more effective ways for three-way decisions than the current researches by avoiding some redundant and unnecessary computations, especially for the case with abundant of alternatives. Two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the practicality and validity of the proposed methods. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, an I -topology is constructed in a Menger probabilistic normed space (PNS) in a natural way. Some properties of the I -topology are studied. It is shown that a Menger PNS with the I -topology forms a both locally convex and locally bounded I -topological vector space of QL-type. In addition, the relation between the I -topology and that topologically generated by some classical topologies is investigated.

Abstract: Interval-valued fuzzy set (briefly, IVFS) is a generalization of fuzzy set that may better model imperfect information. Similarity measure is a useful tool for determining the similarity degree between two fuzzy concepts. In this paper, the definition of similarity measure of IVFSs is presented. Three approaches to constructing similarity measures of IVFSs are proposed. Based on the approaches, three computation formulae for calculating the similarity degree between IVFSs are obtained. The properties of similarity measures of IVFSs are examined as a whole.

Abstract: Supply chain network (SCN) problem deals with selecting compatible and competent partners and description of materials, information and financial flow at different nodes in networks. Because of uncertain existence in supply chain networks, companies encounter risk in their business. The purpose of this paper is optimal designing of supply chain networks with multi-product and multi-customer by minimization per unit cost of supply and its variance in risky environments. An interactive fuzzy goal programming is used to achieve these objectives; simultaneously. A risk diagram is used as a method to take risk issues into account by considering the probability and consequence …of risk events. Credibility measure is developed to give the assurance that risk consequences are lower than a given risk level with maximum possible confidence level. Uncertainties are considered in the model by fuzzy concept as risk elements. Examples are illustrated and numerical results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed model. Finally, as shown in results, the effects of disruption risks are mitigated in whole SCN with optimal orders allocation. Show more

Abstract: In this paper, we study the concept of fuzzy bi-hyperideals in ordered semihypergroups and we present some examples in this respect. We give the main theorem which characterizes the bi-hyperideals in terms of fuzzy bi-hyperideals. Then, we characterize the left and right simple, the completely regular, and the strongly regular ordered semihypergroups by means of fuzzy bi-hyperideals.

Abstract: Heretofore several efforts have been made for detection and quantification of neurological disorders which have observable symptoms as hand tremor. Multiple sclerosis is among such disorders which can somewhat quantified by measuring the severity of hand tremor. In this paper, a system is designed for recording and analysis of digital signal of Spirography standard test for this purpose. Hardware and software development are described for an apparatus, its performance is to make the standard Spirography test, to record the signal, to transfer the signal to the PC in which the associated software is installed and to analyze the signal according …to the feature extraction and classification algorithms. Power Spectrum Analysis is proposed as one of the extracted features in the software since it reveals the effect of each frequency components in overall movement of hand. In addition to Power Spectrum Analysis complex features as Largest Lyapunov Exponent and mean value of the Lyapunov spectrum of the signals which are chosen to be the indications of the signals chaoticity level. Signal complexity is represented as its embedding dimension and time lag which together construct an approximate index window in periodic signal reconstruction manner. Time lag correlates to the sampling rate and signal geometry. Signals are treated as patterns in features space and they are undergone classification by a trained feed forward neural network. Classification task acts as the decision making process in which the membership of each subjects signal to the predefined classes of healthy and unhealthy group is calculated and corresponding consequent treatments are arranged by the physicist. It is shown in this paper that the complex features as chaotic features can representatively exhibit the signals dynamical behavior and they can be used for signal discrimination of subjects with and without hand tremor. Abstract: The classic dynamic decision making methods mainly focus on aggregating the existing attribute values, not considering the development trend of alternatives through the whole period. Both the two aspects should be taken into account for reflecting the dynamic nature comprehensively. This paper is to present a dynamic grey target method from a new viewpoint, where the attribute values take the form of grey numbers. In the proposed method, an extended grey target technique based on approaching degree is applied twice, which is firstly applied in seeking the ranking of alternatives with existing attribute values in each period, and secondly applied …in exploring the ranking of fluctuation of alternatives with respect to each attribute. Then the comprehensive approaching degree of alternative is to be aggregated concerning the two aspects with respect to all attributes through all the periods. The new concept of approaching degree in grey target method reflects the similarity and closeness of sequence. Both the information performance and the development trend of alternatives through the multi-periods are reflected. An evaluation of sub-companies in an enterprise and discussion are given to demonstrate the proposed method’s effectiveness and superiority. Show more

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide a new suitable method for smart grid state estimation. Based on the non-linearity of methods used to solve the state estimation problem, in addition to the ability to solve such issues, it is also necessary to be responsive and have acceptable accuracy. In this article, a new metrology of optimization, Bat Algorithm (BA), based on the Weighted Least Square (WLS) method is presented. This algorithm is equipped with a new self-adaptive learning that improves the performance of BA and has a better effect on optimization. Bat algorithm can estimate voltage and angle …output values by weighted least square method. The advantages of this method are lower cost function, faster solution and globally-locally better search in comparison with other algorithms. Show more
