Abstract: Many developing countries have introduced e-Government projects to facilitate government services for business. However, due to the lack of appropriate ICT infrastructure and digital illiteracy among SMEs, e-Government projects are abundant. This is an empirical research that closely investigates the e-readiness of SMEs to adopt e-Government services. A conceptual model is proposed based on reviewing the all e-readiness assessments and relevant adoption literature. The Egyptian e-Government project is selected as an example …of e-Government services offered for SMEs in developing countries. Surveying SMEs in Egypt confirmed the importance of the e-readiness factors as the first step in adoption. However, being e-ready is not enough for adoption. Abstract: E-Governance is the application of information and communication technology (ICT) for delivering government services, exchange of information and communication between government and public. Government services are made available to the citizens in a convenient, efficient and transparent manner through e-Governance. E-Government is a means for governments to use the most innovative ICTs through electronic networks with more convenient access to government information and services. The objective of this paper is to present …how public participation is significant to enhance quality government services and need of ethical issues on e-Government practices and for formation of good governance. The current study is review of various literatures relating to e-government, public participation for e-governance, challenges and ethical issues. The key benefits of e-Governance include efficiency, improved services, better accessibility of public services, and transparency.
