Abstract: Nickel-base super-alloys strengthening by precipitation of γ' phase are used as a heat resistant material in gas turbines for electric power plant and jet engine. They were severely subjected to creep (time dependent mechanism, TD) and strain/stress controlled fatigue conditions (cyclic dependent condition, CD). In this paper, sophisticated investigation and analyses on the load frequency characteristics of fracture life under creep and fatigue conditions were conducted based on catastrophic function for nickel-based super alloys, CM247LC (directionally solidified nickel-base material, DS) and these results were compared with those of IN100 (polycrystalline nickel-base material).
