Abstract: Two new coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of {[Cu(CPTD)(MeOH)(NO3)](DMA)}n (1, HCPTD = 4′-(4-Carboxyphenyl)-2,2′:6′,2-terpyridine, DMA = N,N-dimethylacetamide) and {[Dy3(NTB)3(H2O)3]n(DMF)3}n (2, H3NTB = 4,4′,4-nitrilotribenzoic acid, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) were prepared through solvothermal reactions. The two complexes have been characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analyses, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and single crystal X-ray diffraction. In addition, in vitro antitumor activity of compounds 1 and 2 on three human thyroid tumor cells (FTC-133, TPC-1 and BC-PAP) was further determined via the MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay and the results show that the two compounds showed promising activity.
