Abstract: We report on a seventeen-year-old boy presenting with postural
headache caused by intracranial hypotension following surgical treatment of
juvenile scoliosis. The clinical presentation, diagnostic findings and
treatment are described and a review of the relevant literature is given. It is
concluded that physicians should be aware of intracranial hypotension syndrome
as a possible, though rare, complication after spine surgery.
