Abstract: The performance of a tunable pyrolytic graphite filter with a cold neutron triple-axis-spectrometer is presented. A filter of 25mm thickness gives an efficient attenuation of the second order beam contamination in the nominal neutron wavevector range 1.4 Å−1 < k ≤ 2.6 Å−1.
