Abstract: Neutron diffraction measurements of intergranular strain development in IMI 125 commercially pure titanium were recorded during uniaxial loading at temperatures between room temperature and 380°C. An elastoplastic self-consistent (EPSC) model was used to elucidate information about the operative deformation modes. Activation of {1012} 〈1011〉 twinning was observed to limit the build up of intergranular stresses at all temperatures.
