Abstract: The generalised grey target decision method for mixed attributes with certain number-based index weights has been studied. However, the reported method, with the index weights containing uncertain numbers of different types, cannot be aggregated by the conventional method. So the generalised grey target decision method for mixed attributes with index weights containing uncertain numbers is worthy of investigation. The research framework comprises two key points: calculating the index proximity of all alternatives and obtaining certain number-based index weights. Above all, the index proximities are calculated and normalised by the previous method. Then the certain index weights are obtained: first, all mixed types of weights are converted into binary connection numbers and regarded as binary connection number vectors; second, the proximity of all index weight vectors and the baseline vector are calculated and converted into certain number-based index weights. Finally, the integrated proximities of all alternatives are obtained by aggregating the normalised index proximity with the certain index weights. A case study illustrates the proposed method.
