Abstract: The mathematical modeling is an important aspect in apprehending the discrete and continuous physical systems. A hypergraph is a key tool to understand and model the situations in applied sciences and various engineering branches. Sometimes information in a network model is based on multi-object, multi-polar information or uncertainty rather than a single bit. In this research article, we apply the concept of m-polar fuzzy sets to generalize the theory of transversals of hypergraphs. We introduce the notion of m-polar fuzzy transversals and locally minimal m-polar fuzzy transversals of m-polar fuzzy hypergraphs and investigate some of their fundamental properties. We present interesting applications of m-polar fuzzy transversals in decision support system for investment management and the problem of finding minimum number of locations in a mesh network with least signal disturbance. We also design and implement algorithms for constructing m-polar fuzzy transversals, fundamental subsequence, determine a set of investment assets and finding minimum number locations in a mesh network.
